A principal with Green Building Services, Ralph brings 15 years of green building and design expertise to our clients. Ralph is widely recognized for his ability to deliver high level green building strategies and forge effective working relationships among members of national and international project teams. His proven record of achieving clarity around green building objectives has enabled clients to implement the most meaningful and valuable solutions for their specific project.Ralph excels at conducting project assessments during the conceptual and design phases, working in close collaboration with building owners, architects, designers and engineers to articulate the green building goals and develop a clear plan of action. He introduces project teams to new or unfamiliar sustainability strategies, and identifies critical opportunities that might otherwise not have been considered. His creative vision, coupled with his attention to a project’s particular budget and schedule, provides project teams with the guidance and confidence necessary for making smart green design decisions. With his realistic approach and “big picture” perspective, Ralph consistently brings green building objectives in line with the owner and stakeholder’s goals and ensures their realization.
Ralph is a nationally recognized facilitator who leads trainings, eco-charrettes and workshops on sustainability and green building strategies. As a member of the USGBC’s LEED faculty, he also leads workshops on the LEED Green Building Rating System. His workshops are tailored to address the specific needs of owners, design firms, contractors, government agencies and facility managers. Ralph is a featured speaker at national and international conferences, including GreenBuild, EnvironDesign, and PCBC. He has also been commissioned by national product manufacturers to conduct workshops and consult on sustainable materials and their applications, and marketing strategies. Ralph’s project focus includes historic renovations, higher education facilities, libraries as well as international green building consulting.
Ralph’s dedication to creating sustainable buildings and a healthier environment extends beyond his professional commitments. As a co-founder and president of the Sustainable Products Purchasers Coalition, he demonstrates an unwavering commitment to sustainable practices and to providing educational resources on sustainability and green products.
